Habitat

Blue Tangs are widely distributed across the Indo-Pacific, inhabiting coral reefs and rocky areas at depths of 2-40 meters. They are often found in large schools around coral formations and algae-rich areas.

Diet

Primarily herbivorous, Blue Tangs graze on various types of marine algae throughout the day. In captivity, they require a diet rich in marine vegetables, algae sheets, and herbivore pellets, supplemented with occasional protein-based foods.
