Habitat

Fire Shrimp inhabit the tropical Indo-Pacific waters, typically found in caves, crevices, and overhangs of coral reefs at depths of 3-35 meters. They prefer dimly lit areas with good water circulation.

Diet

Omnivorous scavengers that feed on detritus, leftover food, small invertebrates, and algae. They also act as cleaner shrimp, removing parasites from fish. In aquariums, they accept various frozen and prepared foods.
