Habitat

Found throughout the Indo-Pacific region, Copperband Butterflyfish inhabit coral reefs, rocky areas, and estuaries at depths of 1-25 meters. They prefer areas with abundant small crevices and coral formations.

Diet

Specialized feeders that use their elongated snout to pick small invertebrates from coral crevices. They feed on tube worms, small crustaceans, and coral polyps. In captivity, they require live or frozen foods like mysis shrimp and tube worms.
